Make Music Day 2023
Global Prize Winner - #mysongisyoursong
This year on June 21st - Make Music Day, I participated in #MySongIsYourSong, where musicians are invited to cover a song by another artist and hear our own covered in return.
I was partnered with the talented singer-songwriter Ryan Oyer of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who created an awesome grunge-flavoured cover of my song April Fool
In turn, I had the opportunity to cover Ryan's song Enough.
It was a great time reinterpreting his song, originally on acoustic guitar, and creating this band arrangement.
As a kid, The Beatles were the band that first made me fall in love with music, and I found myself unconsciously drawing on their influence in the piano arrangement, walking bass lines, and tracking vocals.
Update: Ryan and I are the winning pair this year for the Focusrite/ Novation/ Flight Ukuleles prize package!

The Right Words
Something New (2019)
Music, Lyrics, Arrangements, and Mix
This EP for my project The Right Words, combines influences from Prog Rock, Punk, Post-Punk, and New Wave
From the Cure-inspired Synth and Bass VI of Ambition, Ramones & Blink-182 influence in Good Enough, and the 3/4 swing of “Wait Hey”, compositional choices fuelled an aspiration to approach each mix in its own unique way.
Instrumentals
These are some clips of compositions for screen, game, animations, film etc.
KM and FC
I wrote these for a series of internal communications videos for Telstra.
KM was the first, in a light, upbeat style.
FC is more mechanical, with a couple of different movements I like to call “Oh no!” and “Hooray!”
Game Jam 2012
Created for Game Jam 2012 game ‘The Equinox’ and inspired by Michael Land’s iMUSE system used in the Monkey Island Series of games.
This score was created in multiple layers that could be brought into, and taken out of, the soundscape at different times.
